Photo Series By Steph Olejniczak

One of our long time loves and muses, Steph Olejniczak made some magic for us in her hometown of North Carolina, featuring her personally curated Call Me The Breeze pieces.

We also dive in to get to know her a little deeper. Her beginnings, her inspiration and more. We hope you enjoy!

What people should know about me is…

Behind the photos there is a person who is a deep thinker but doesn’t take life too serious, a family lover who lives 1000 miles from home, a home body whose first love is traveling. Basically, i’m a complex hot mess of a person but I love my life hehe.

The most important lesson I’ve learnt is…

Everyone is going through something hard. So don’t just treat people with kindness, treat them with love and compassion.

My imagination runs free when…

I'm unplugged from phone/computer and traveling/in nature

The playlist that best describes me is…

Y2K top pop hits heheheh

Other creators that inspire me are…

@emelinaah @olivecooke @hannahfaithlord @lucywilliams02 @ashgrats @zippyseven and so many more! Too many to name. So many talented and inspiring humans out there.

My first memory of makeup is…

My mom took me to the Estee Lauder counter when I was 14. I think low key, she thought I was really awful with makeup because I wore too much. She asked them to teach me how to do a natural look and I remember just being in love. I didn’t realize at the time that you could do makeup in a natural way. That and putting white eye liner on my top lash line in middle school with my girlfriends in the bathroom circa 2002 hahahah.

I balance work and life best when…

I’m not very good at this! Still trying to learn haha. I always make sure I take time off when I'm visiting my family and i’ve been doing better at giving my self a half day off on Saturdays and a full day off on Sundays. My new thing is turning my phone completely off on Sundays and just really living.

A place to visit on my bucket list is…

Oh soooo many. I’d say the top of my list right now is Sicily, Italy. I’ve been dreaming about it for years. I want to go for a month or two and just really dive into the culture, eat all the delicious food, and just slow life down.

The best piece of advice i have been given is…

My dad told me when I was starting my first important job, to “fake it until I make it.” Initially it sounded wrong to me, but I listened to him and it really gave me a sense of confidence. No one needed to know how new I was. What mattered was that I believed in myself. My dad always has great advice.
